That's Not My Name by Megan Lally

That's Not My Name by Megan Lally

Shivering and bruised, a teen wakes up on the side of a dirt road with no memory of how she got there―or who she is. A passing officer takes her to the police station, and not long after, a frantic man arrives. He's been searching for her for hours. He has her school ID, her birth certificate, and even family photos.

Teen Review: One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus

One of Us is Lying was really engaging from the start because the mystery pulled me in right away. I liked how each character had secrets, and the multiple perspectives kept things interesting. Some of the twists were predictable, but the tension still worked. The high school drama felt realistic enough to make the stakes feel real.

Teen Review: Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson

This sequel was even better than the first book, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, in some ways. The mystery felt more personal, and the stakes were higher. I liked seeing the main character struggle more with the consequences of her choices. Some twists were predictable, but others genuinely surprised me. It felt darker and more emotional, which made it more engaging overall.

Teen Review: Destroy Me by Tahereh Mafi

This novella actually made me like Warner way more than I expected. Seeing things from his perspective added a lot of depth that was missing before. I didn’t love everything he did, but I understood him more, which made the main series more interesting. It’s short, but it adds important emotional context. Honestly, it made the whole Shatter Me world feel more layered.

Teen Review: Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

I liked the concept of Shatter Me more than the actual execution at times. Juliette’s voice was interesting, but the writing style felt repetitive after a while, especially with all the crossed-out thoughts. That said, the emotional intensity was strong, and the idea of her power was really compelling.

Teen Review - A Court of Mist and Fury

A Court of Mist and Fury is easily my favorite in the ACOTAR series. The emotional growth, especially for Feyre, felt so much deeper and more real than in the first book. I loved how the relationships were handled, and the slow buildup made everything hit harder. Some parts dragged just a little, but honestly the payoff was worth it.

Teen Review - A Court of Thorns and Roses

A Court of Thorns and Roses was honestly way better than I expected going in. The beginning felt kind of slow and almost generic fantasy-romance, and I wasn’t totally sold on Feyre at first. But once the story really gets into the fae world, it becomes super immersive, and the tension actually starts to matter. I liked the atmosphere a lot, even though some parts felt predictable.

Teen Review: We Were Liars by E Lockhart

We Were Liars was emotional and mysterious. At first the story felt confusing, but everything slowly came together in a powerful way. The writing style matched the themes of memory and denial really well. It explores family, secrets, and loss in a subtle but impactful way. It’s a book that stays in your head after you finish it.
