Teens in grades 6-12 can earn service hours with the Library. 

School Year Volunteering begins the week of Monday, September 9.

Virtual Volunteering

Create cards for kids in the hospital through Cardz for Kidz. Creating 4 cards earns 1 volunteer hour.

To create cards, follow the guidelines for independent artists

How to get service credit for the hours:

1) Take a picture of each card and email them to teenread@wheatonlibrary.org

2) Mail your cards to Cardz for Kidz, 516 N Ogden #177, Chicago, IL 60642 or or bring them to the Teenspace and we will mail them for you.

Send cards to seniors through Love for our Elders. Creating 4 cards earns 1 volunteer hour.

What books have you loved? Hated? Is there a video game you can't stop playing?

Write (or record) a short review and submit it to teenread@wheatonlibrary.org. Reviews will be posted to our Teenspace blog.

For each review you'll receive 30 minutes of service hours.
