A Court of Thorns and Roses was honestly way better than I expected going in. The beginning felt kind of slow and almost generic fantasy-romance, and I wasn’t totally sold on Feyre at first. But once the story really gets into the fae world, it becomes super immersive, and the tension actually starts to matter. I liked the atmosphere a lot, even though some parts felt predictable. By the end, I was way more invested than I thought I’d be, which made me want to keep reading the series.
