You may have already watched the Oscar award-winning movie, Women Talking (2023). If you have yet to read the novel of the same name by Miriam Toews, upon which the movie is based. I'm here to encourage you to do so!

This book is about international spies, MI16, and hackers. It is fast paced with action scenes and found family. I absolutely loved the way the characters interacted with each other and their handler Mother. The main character Sara is funny, smart and has an incredible sense of justice.

This book is definitely worth reading. The main character Moth uncovers she is a witch, her mother is a witch and her mother is really much older then she looks. Moth has to fight not only the bullies at school but an old war between witches and witch hunters.

Trespasses (2022) is an impressive debut novel by Louise Kennedy, set in the 1970s during the Troubles in Northern Ireland.

This book has a magical town, unlabeled doors that lead anywhere, tea, and a main character who finds the courage to be themselves. Fin, the main character is filled with anxiety and has never lived in one place for too long. When she arrives at Aldermere, she starts to feel at home.
