The Book of Thorns (2024) by Hester Fox is an historical fiction tale of two sisters, separated as children, who are linked through the magic of language of flowers and a locket that they both wear. Set in 19th-century New England, Cornelia was raised by a cruel uncle who wants to marry her off and Lisbeth was raised as a servant.

This lovely and magical story features three book lovers who become entwined with a lost bookshop that spans 19th and 20th century Ireland. Opaline attempts to break the barriers that aim to confine and subjugate women as she runs from a forced marriage; Martha is running from an abusive husband; and Henry is trying to find an elusive break into the book world.

Set in the cozy English countryside, The Wake-Up Call (2023) is a charming story about love, found family, and misunderstandings. The staff of the Forest Manor hotel are desperate to save their beloved workplace from closure or bankruptcy. Rivals Izzy and Lucas have barely spoken for over a year, but now are forced into an uneasy partnership to quickly raise funds.

Get yourself a cup of coffee, a pastry, and get cozy while reading A Season for Second Chances by Jenny Bayliss. For fans of romance who like a cozy setting and delicious descriptions of food and drink, this book has all that and then some.

Looking for a sweet, cozy story? Check out this heartwarming novel from perennial bestseller Mary Kay Andrews. In Bright Lights, Big Christmas (2023), Kerry Tolliver is between jobs and helping out her family’s business by living in a tiny trailer selling Christmas trees in New York City.

This is a really cute romance. If you like cheese and cheesy love stories you will love this book. In order to be independent and maintain her wealth after the death of her father, Lady Camembert must pretend to be Count Camembert.
