Golden Girls and cozy mystery = match made in heaven! The first in a new series by Rachel Ekstrom Courage, Murder by Cheesecake takes us back to 1980s Miami for a clash of cultures as Rose’s family from St. Olaf, Minnesota arrives in town for a family wedding. When Dorothy’s wedding date (hilariously found through a VHS dating service), is found dead in the hotel freezer days before the wedding and Dorothy is the main suspect, it’s up to the Golden Girls to find the real murderer and save both the wedding and Dorothy. The story is over-the-top silliness at many turns, but it's all nostalgic fun for any Golden Girls fan and might even draw some new fans in with the atmospheric 80s Miami vibes.
