The Girl You Know by Elle Gonzalez Rose

When Luna's twin sister, Solina, dies suddenly, Luna knows it wasn't an accident like the police are trying to make it out to be. Luna suspects Solina's death has everything to do with Kingswood Academy, the prestigious and reputable boarding school that Solina attended-- the school she wanted to drop out of with only one semester left. Kingswood Academy doesn't know that Solina is dead, so Luna takes the opportunity to pretend to be Solina and investigate her death. As she gets close to Solina's friends, roommate, and secret boyfriend, she starts to unravel secrets about her sister and the school that she never would have guessed.

The Girl You Know by Elle Gonzalez Rose is such an incredible mystery/thriller. Luna's character is dark and gritty, and conveys such a realistic portrayal of grief through a teen lens. I was rooting for her from the very first sentence, and her emotions seem to leap off the page. There's also excellent Latine and queer representation in this book. Overall, an excellent thriller for those who love an angsty character and a boarding school setting.
