The Sisters Brothers by Patrick deWitt

The Sisters Brothers (2011) by Patrick deWitt is a dip into Westerns that I wasn't expecting to take. I only actually read it because one of my favorite horror authors (Paul Tremblay) just shared that he re-read it and it remained 5 stars in his mind. Humorous and gritty, The Sisters Brothers was a welcome reprieve into the American west a bit before the time of the gold rush. I was rather fond of one of the Sisters Brothers by the end. This one is a safe pick for curious readers who aren't entirely married to their genre-of-choice. Unless it's Westerns. Then even better. Bonus: it was made into a film, which we also carry.
