Andrea Eames' cozy fantasy debut A Harvest of Hearts (2025) is wonderful way to escape through reading. Foss is a witty butcher's daughter living in a village where magic workers harvest hearts. Just as she decides to accept that she is too plain for love along comes a dark and handsome sorcerer who just might change her opinion. Together, Foss, the sorcerer and his clever talking cat uncover the secrets of the kingdom and, just maybe, a happy ending.
A great book for fantasy lovers who enjoyed The House on the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune and Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones.
