The Wheaton Public Library (WPL) Mission Statement guides the display of materials. The purpose of WPL curated displays is to enhance experiences by informing, enlightening, and inspiring patrons of all ages. Displays are used to highlight materials, educate the public on a variety of subjects, genres, and formats offered, and stimulate interest in the library collections, services, and resources, appealing to the diverse interests of the community. Library displays will not exclude topics, books, media, and other resources solely because they may be considered to be controversial. The final responsibility for the display of library materials is held by the Library Director.
