Join professional storyteller Megan Wells as she portrays Mary Shelley.

Frankenstein; or The Modern Prometheus, the world’s first science fiction novel, was written by a nineteen-year-old girl named Mary Shelley. How she came to write such a novel reveals the painful struggle of a brilliant and rebellious mind. Born of two idealistic parents, Mary rebelled against English social norms to have a relationship with romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. Mary’s life experiences add up to “a dark and stormy night” when a story born by a dare liberates her genius.
