Fermilab: A Frontier History

Today, Fermilab is the United States' premier particle physics and accelerator laboratory and a world leader in these fields. But how did we get here?

Join Valerie Higgins, Lab Archivist and Historian of Fermilab, as she gives an overview of the lab's more than fifty-year history, from the reasons for the lab's creation to their plans for the future. She will cover the lab's major scientific and technological accomplishments, including the discovery of the bottom and top quarks and the building and operation of the Tevatron, as well as highlights of the lab's architecture, art, and natural history, and educational and outreach programs.
