Friends Annual Meeting

This year's Friends of Wheaton Public Library Annual Meeting features two speakers. After a short business meeting, Betsy Adamowski, Library Director, will speak about the state of libraries and the future plans for WPL. Mayor Mike Gresk will talk about the role WPL will play in his vision for the City of Wheaton. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend this presentation. If you would like to join the Friends, membership forms are available online and at the Checkout Desk.

ELL Family Night
Thursday, May 8 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Held at the Jefferson ECC Gym

ELL families, families of children who speak a second language, are invited to Jefferson Early Childhood Center’s first ELL Family Night! We will have representatives from the Carol Stream, Warrenville, and Wheaton Public Libraries at Jefferson to help families sign up for library cards. Students and their siblings can also decorate a tote bag for books and Jefferson students will receive free books to take home! We will also have snacks. To apply for a library card, families must bring two forms to prove residency such as driver’s license, piece of mail, bill, or apartment lease. Return this form by May 2 to attend.
