Scheduling School Programs
Programs may be scheduled anytime, including those times outside of the Center’s public hours. For additional program information or to schedule a program, please contact 630-871-6601 or info@wheatonhistory.com with the following information:
  • All relevant contact information: i.e. school or organization name, group leader name, address, phone, etc.
  • Age and size of group, plus any special considerations for your group.
  • Program requested.
  • A few possible dates and times for the program.
 
 
Minimum/Maximum Group Size
  • The minimum group size is twelve (12) students. Programs can be done for less than twelve (12), but will be assessed the fee for twelve (12) except for special needs groups.
  • At the Center for History, programs can be scheduled for up to 100 students.
  • If your group is larger than 100, you can schedule two program times at the Center for History.
  • Or, the program can be presented at your school.
 
 
Fees
  • A 50% deposit is required to reserve a date.
  • Off-site programs for locations outside Wheaton will be assessed nominal travel expenses.
  • One adult teacher or chaperone will be admitted free per 25 students.
  • All program fees are subject to change without notice.
  • Schedule a program for every class in your school and qualify for a 20% discount.
 
 
Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellations less than two (2) weeks in advance forfeit the deposit.
  • The Center for History must be notified of any changes in the number attending five (5) days prior to the scheduled program to qualify for a reduction in fees.
 
 
Special Needs
  • The Center for History can accommodate ESL, LD, BD, At Risk, alternative schools and other special needs groups.
  • Please let us know in advance if any of these special needs apply to any of your students.
  • Only 1st floor at 606 N. Main Street is wheelchair accessible.
  • 315 W. Front Street equipped with an elevator.
  • Scholarships can be awarded to students qualifying for the free-lunch program.
