Renewals
Most material may be renewed for 2 weeks. Adult videos and DVDs may be renewed for 3 nights. Exceptions: items on hold, adult non-fiction and series videos/DVDs and children's videos/DVDs. Material that is not overdue may be renewed online through View Your Record. Material that is less than 5 days overdue may be renewed by calling the Circulation desk at 668-1374 ext. 515. Any fines accrued will be added to your record.

Holds
Wheaton Public Library cardholders may place a hold on items that are checked out or otherwise unavailable. You will be notified when the item is ready to be picked up. Sorry, holds are not accepted for videos or DVDs.

Overdue Notices
You will receive a notice on the third day items are overdue. A second notice is sent via U.S. mail when items are one week overdue. A bill, which includes a non-refundable $5.00 processing fee, is mailed two weeks after the second notice is sent. Delinquent accounts are sent to collection.

Holds & Overdue Notice Notification
When an item on hold is available for pickup, or if an item checked out is three days overdue, the library will notify you in one of three ways: e-mail, telephone or U.S. mail. You will receive a telephone call from our computerized telephone notification system unless you tell us you would prefer to be notified by e-mail or U.S. mail. To request e-mail or U.S. mail notification, please call the Circulation desk at 668-1374 ext. 510, or send an e-mail message to the Circulation Department at circ@mail.wheaton.lib.il.us.
